Graduation Requirements

While students may enroll in LAYC Career Academy in the GED program and/or to benefit from our ELL courses, students may only graduate within one of the following pathways:

1) College

2) Medical Assistant

3) Information Technology

College Pathway

Reading aptitude (11th grade minimum)
High School credential
MOS certification
6 college credit hours

Medical Assistant (MA) Pathway

Reading aptitude (11th grade minimum)
High School credential
MOS certification
300 externship experience
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Certification

Information Technology (IT) Pathway

Reading aptitude (11th grade minimum)
High School credential
IC3 certification
300 externship experience
CompTIA A+ Certification
